Taking over ExCeL London from 16–18 April 2025, the UK’s largest EV test drive experience is revving up for action with more than 8,000 test drive slots available across three full-on days. Whether you’re curious about going electric or looking to upgrade your current EV, this is your chance to get behind the wheel of the latest models—all in one place.

Try Before You Buy: Major Brands, Multiple Models

This year’s lineup is seriously impressive, featuring some of the biggest names in electric mobility:

  • Ford – Test drive the smart new Ford Explorer or the thrilling Mustang Mach-E. This is Ford’s EV game face, and it’s looking sharp.

  • MG – Be one of the first to take the all-electric MGS5 for a spin as it makes its public debut. Also on offer: the Cyberster, MG4 EV, and MG ZS EV—proof that MG is going all-in on electric.

  • Volvo – Get hands-on with the EX30, XC40 Recharge, and the impressive EX90. Swedish style meets sustainable driving.

  • Hyundai – The futuristic IONIQ 5, sleek IONIQ 6, and all-new KONA are ready and waiting for a test drive. Innovative, refined, and unmistakably electric.

  • Tesla – The tech-savvy Model Y and upgraded Model 3 are up for grabs. If you’ve never driven a Tesla, now’s your moment.

  • BYD – Check out the UK debut of the Sealion 7, plus test drive the Atto, Dolphin, and Seal. BYD is quickly becoming one to watch.

More Brands, More Choice

And that’s just the start. Other eye-catching models available to explore include the Renault 5, Hyundai Ioniq 9, Porsche Macan, Xpeng G6, Changan S07, Jeep Avenger, Kia EV5, BMW i7, and the luxurious Mercedes EQS.

Each test drive lasts about 15–20 minutes, taking you out onto the public roads surrounding ExCeL London for a proper taste of real-world EV driving. Test drives are first-come, first-served, so arrive early and have your full driving licence handy—plus a quick waiver to sign, and you’re good to go.

A Striking New Design

The updated Enyaq adopts Škoda’s Modern Solid design language, blending ruggedness with elegance. Key exterior changes include:

  • Tech-Deck Face: A glossy black panel housing advanced sensors for features like adaptive cruise control and front cameras.
  • LED Matrix Headlights: Animated indicators and signature four-eyed lighting add a high-tech feel (standard from the Edition trim).
  • C-shaped LED Tail Lights: Updated with dynamic animations and Coming Home/Leaving Home sequences.
  • New Colours: The addition of Olive Green metallic expands the palette, joining two solid and seven metallic options.
  • Aerodynamic Enhancements: Revised air curtains and slimmer front designs improve drag coefficient to 0.245 for the SUV and a remarkable 0.229 for the Coupé.

With two battery sizes and three powertrains, the new Enyaq caters to a variety of driving needs:

  • Enyaq 60: 63kWh battery, up to 268 miles WLTP range
  • Enyaq 85: 82kWh battery, up to 365 miles WLTP range (Coupé)
  • Enyaq 85x: 82kWh battery, all-wheel drive, up to 334 miles WLTP range

Charging is faster than ever, with the Enyaq 60 supporting 165kW DC fast charging, achieving a 10-80% charge in just 24 minutes. The Enyaq 85x supports 175kW DC charging, taking only 28 minutes for the same boost.

Tech Upgrades Inside

The interior of the new Enyaq has been refined for comfort and usability:

  • 5-inch Digital Cockpit and 13-inch Infotainment Screen as standard.
  • Head-Up Display with Augmented Reality (standard on SportLine).
  • Redesigned steering wheel with Škoda lettering.
  • Enhanced MyŠkoda app, integrating Powerpass for access to over 800,000 charging points across Europe.
